FAQs
Will I stay in therapy forever?
No. Therapy involves collaboration and goal-setting. We want to examine the thoughts that may be holding you back. We want to learn a more balanced perspective and approaches that may help you take control of your thoughts. A typical timeframe for therapy is 3-4 months, depending on the individual. We can discuss specific timeframes and milestones to help you reach your goals, but therapy is not intended to be a lifelong commitment.
What is your therapeutic orientation?
My theoretical framework of counseling is to use a combination of approaches to provide for the best possible care to my clients. I adopt person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and Christian spiritual approaches (if requested) into my work. I am happy to discuss these orientations in further detail upon request. I always consider the client’s needs, background, and goals as well as their psychological, social, spiritual, and biological development to determine the best course of action in counseling.
What are your rates?
My rate is $130 per therapy hour, or 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I do work with insurance, but benefits vary by plan. To check whether your insurance is accepted, please visit my Headway page and click “get exact price.”
